Aylesbury, playing up the infamous slopey Buckingham pitch in the first half got off to a slow start. With small infringments and penalties costing them, Aylesbury were soon 6-0 down. However Aylesbury fought back and came away with two of their own penalties, to level the score at 6-6 at half time. With wholesale changes at half time, a new team took to the park, playing downhill with the wind. However things remained much the same as the first half, with little open play and many scrums. The deadlock was broken by Aylesbury when Pete Gorley broke through the centres to score under the posts, bringing the score to 13-6. Buckingham fought back strongly, but to no avail with the final score being 13-6 to Aylesbury.
